A Happy Surprise!

We were pleasantly surprised to receive our "Favourable Detemination" letter (aka I-171H) from immigration in the mail on Saturday. We were told it could take a couple of weeks up to four months to receive it after we got our fingerprinting done. It came in just two weeks and a day. We were surprised and ecstatic! It was the last piece of paper we needed to complete our dossier. So, tomorrow we head to Springfield to get our Illinois documents (21, I think) state certified. While we're there we are going to make it a day and see the Lincoln sites. We are so excited to be nearing the end of this paperchase phase. One big step closer to bringing our little girl home!

Hi Steph,
Thanks for stopping by our blog earlier. We are also requesting a baby girl 0-12 months. Our other kids are soo excited to have another baby from Ethiopia! Maybe we will travel together-I hope so! We just love the life long friends we made during our first adoption! We are praying for tons of referrals to start coming in!!!! We waited 10 months for Finn though so we are used to the long wait.
