So, our pastors' daughter, Alyssa (also our girls' lifeguard at camp this summer) taught Tyler how to braid this summer. How she convinced him that he wanted to learn this I don't know. He is all boy, and typically would not be interested in doing anything remotely "girly".
As we walked home from the ballfield (after he had spent an entire camp in the back of the camp truck for his lesson) he told me his reasoning -
"Mommy, I learned how to braid so I can help you with my little sister's hair."
Awww! Love that kid!
