Before last year, Orphan Sunday was not even on our radar - we didn't even know it existed. Last year on Orphan Sunday we were asking the Lord if He wanted us to adopt. I was crying over pictures of the sweet little faces of children who need mommies and daddies. We were reading about international adoption and realizing that maybe this was a possibility for us. Nearly a year later we wait for God's timing to bring home a precious little girl from Ethiopia. Can't wait!
I came across these materials for Orphan Sunday. It is called the Orphan's Table - a meal with a prayer and discussion guide. It is free with a donation of any amount to cover shipping. You can also request a free dvd called Answer the Cry: Faces of Hope. Hurry on over to the website though. You have to order by tomorrow, Friday to receive your package in time for Orphan Sunday.
