Christmas Fun & Festivities

The boys and I recently went to a "Gingerbread House" building party. Everyone brought graham crackers to build with, the hosting family provided the mortar icing, and all brought candy to share. Above are some of the lovely creations. Brandon and Tyler decided they wanted the three of us to work together to build a castle. It turned out great.

We had a great time and hope the party becomes an annual thing. I don't think I'll ever make gingerbread again. The graham crackers were so easy. And so nice to not have the mess in my kitchen!

Last Sunday was our children's Christmas program at church. The theme was different people's responses to Christ.
1. The Shepherds Accepted Him
2. The Wise Men Expected Him
3. King Herod Rejected Him
4. The Innkeeper Neglected Him
and ended with the question  - What will you do with Jesus?

Brandon and Tyler did a great job on their duet.

and made a great shepherd and wiseman. (the ties under their costumes crack me up!)

After the program, they were silly. I finally gave up trying to get a nice pic of the two of them!

Yesterday, we had our first family Christmas celebration. Here are some of the best pics from the day:

The shopping is done, the kids' program is past, our choir cantata was this morning, we finished school Friday for Christmas break. This week is mainly wrapping, baking, Christmas caroling, and getting ready for more family get-togethers next weekend. Hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas season too!
